Abstract

In his article, Thull looks at the final document of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which ended in Rome in 2024 and is commonly referred to as the ‘World Synod’ due to its focus. In the course of his presentation, he uses selected focal points to show the canonical accents of the Synod on the reform of the Church. He also outlines specific steps that individual local churches should take in the aftermath of the Synod in order to fulfil the theological requirements of the resolutions passed in legal terms.
