Der „Synodale Weg“ in Deutschland

Eine Betrachtung aus kirchenrechtlicher Perspektive

Abstract

The following article dicusses how the "Synodaler Weg" (Synodal Path) that was initiated in Germany can be judged from a canon law perspective. In doing so, first the term synodality is basically discussed in its meaning. Afterwards, the road having led towards the "Synodaler Weg" is sketched before, finally, comparing the general remarks on synodality with the "Synodaler Weg" as it took place. Hereby, the article does not aim at analysing the single decisions respectively texts but deals with the overall concept of the "Synodaler Weg" in Germany from a canon law perspective.
