Die Neuordnung der Missio canonica für den katholischen Religionsunterricht in Deutschland auf der Grundlage der Musterordnung von 2023

Abstract

The contribution offers an insight into the reorganization of ecclesiastical authorization for catholic religious education in Germany, based on a comparison between the model regulation (Musterordnung) promulgated by the Standing Council of the German Bishops’ Conference and the regulations enacted by the (arch)dioceses. Following the presentation of the relevant legal foundations, two central aspects concerning the conferral and the revocation of ecclesiastical authorization are subsequently addressed, before a summarizing overview of the overall outcome of the comparison is provided.
