Abstract

The present reflections aim to focus attention on the cultural value of ecclesiastical public law, a special branch of canon law that studies the relationships between the Church and political communities, and on the historical path it has taken up to the present day. In this sense, it is intended to highlight specifically how the Roman School of the eighteenth century, and in general the ecclesiastical public law, is a true 'cultural formative' for the practice and science of canon law.
